Make half a poster presentation for the Islamic month you chose. Make sure to include the importance of the month, the important dates and events, any special fasts, supplications, or prayers, and have 1-3 images. The images can be printed or drawn! Look up the verses in the Quran that are referenced as "Jews and Christians" read the context of the verses and summarize your reading in your own words. Make sure to put the page number that you found the verses on! Also, do not forget to answer the discussion question!

Redo the poster board presentations if you were unable to answer any of the questions! Make sure to finish your homework from last week about the verses on the Christians and Jews in the Quran. The directions are posted in last Sunday's homework area. Make sure to bring a pocket dictionary with you to class! Also, look up basic information on Islam, Christianity, and Judaism and be prepared for discussion!

"My Ramadan Poster"Everyone needs to get a tri-fold presentation board; you can find these at Wal-Mart. You can choose the small or large one. For each day of Ramadan think of why it is important for you, what makes you think that it is Ramadan? Why are you fasting? You will then find an artifact (an object) to represent your thought. On the tri-fold board you will write "Day 1 - " and put and paste an object on the board and do this until Eid. Also, on a sheet of paper or little clips of paper write "Day 1 - and why you chose that artifact." BE CREATIVE I DON'T WANT TO PUT TOO MANY RESTRICTIONS! I WILL ALSO BE MAKING ONE! MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST DAY, SET THINGS ASIDE EACH DAY! Click the PDF below for an example!
"MY RAMADAN CHARITY JAR"Your other project for Ramadan is a charity jar. For those of you who were absent last week, each student received a jar to collect money for a charity. You need to post a charity that you want to donate to and write the importance of it in order for the class to decide where the money will go. The class set a goal of $300! You will have a substitute but are still required to do your homework. I will be giving the sub a quiz for you guys to complete on our recent surah's such as Surah Maun and Surah Nasr with meaning along with a review of the first twenty flash cards. If you did not write a paragraph of what the meaning of surah Maun means to you, you need to submit that to me by Friday. Also, don't forget to make tallies of how many times you disagree or disrespect your parents and how many times you made a better choice and made an agreement with them! Less than 18 disagreements/acts of disrespect for the week and 5 agreements earns you a moustache party!
